ADDCALC:
ILLUSTRATION TIPS
CREATING OPTIMUM ILLUSTRATIONS |
The
most helpful hint we can give you is to use the many ADDCALC help
features that form part of the program. Those include the status
bar text, the F1 button, context sensitive help, and the Help menu.
Details can be found in your ADDCALC software manual or at the end
of this document. All ADDCALC illustrations can be put in one of
three categories; "closing", "set the stage" and "information".
The
"Closing" illustrations are designed so that the sale can be closed
at the end of the presentation. They include the Insured Inheritance,
Income Shelter, Insured Annuity, Capital Gains Protection, Income
Generator, Insured Retirement, Corporate Insured Retirement, Secular
Trust, Tax Sheltered Income Stream, Annuity Estate Maximizer, RRIF
Estate Maximizer, Insured RRIF, Charitable Insurance, Charitable
Annuity, Charitable Insured Annuity and Family Split Dollar.
"Set
the stage" illustrations are designed to open cases that are closed
at a later date after consultations with others such as head office
advanced underwriting advisors, the prospect's accountant or lawyer
or even another agent who is very familiar with this type of sale.
Included in this category are: Retirement Compensation Arrangement,
Split Dollar RCA, Corporate Buyout, Corporate redemption of Shares,
Employee/Shareholder Benefit Plan, Corporate Key Person Insurance,
Leveraged Corporate Insured Annuity and the Corporate Insured Annuity.
"Information"
illustrations are always used in combination with other illustrations
and are for information only. They include the Capital Dividend
Account, Collateral Insurance, Corporate Split Dollar and the Internal
Rate of Return illustrations.
In
the pages that follow you will find a brief description of each
concept with a commentary on how to create an optimum illustration.
Select from the following categories: Estate
Planning, Tax Planning, Retirement
Planning, Corporate Insurance, Pension
Estate Maximization, Charitable Giving
and Miscellaneous.
